• R705 Graiguenamanagh Relief Road opened officially on the 15^th February 2008.

• Callan Traffic Management Plan - Kilkenny Road completed Q3 2008.

• Green Street Improvement Plan - Callan - Phase One - Detailed Design and Contact Documents completed Q4 2008, Tenders issued Q4 2008.

• N10 Ring Road Improvement Scheme - Part 8 adopted by Council Members on the 16^th June 2008. Detailed Design substantially completed Q4 2008.

• N10 Dublin Road Traffic Management Scheme - Part 8 adopted by Council Members the 15^th September 2008. Installation of elements of scheme from the Sion Road to Dublin Road Roundabout completed Q3 2008.

• Newpark Drive - Part 8 adopted by Council Members in 2007, Continued land acquisition negotiations with landowners, reasonable progress made. Expect to commence works Q2/Q3 2009.

• Kilkenny Central Access Scheme - Environmental Impact Statement lodged with An Bord Pleanala, under the Strategic Infrastructural Bill, on the 6^th June 2008. Compulsory Purchase Order published the 5^th September 2008. Oral Hearing held on the 1^st to 3^rd December 2008. Decision from An Bord Pleanala expected May 2009.

• Kilkenny Western Environs - Advance retaining wall contract at Roberts Hill completed Q4 2008. Detail Design and Contract Documents substantially completed 2008.

• R700 Thomastown Relief Road - Part 8 adopted by Council Members the 17^th December 2007. Site Investigation Contract substantially completed 2008. Detail design progressed for Phase 1 and 2 of scheme. Significant proportion of land requirement for Phase 1 purchased by agreement in 2008.

• Eastern Environs - Golf-Links Road, New Orchard Road and Lover's Lane Improvement Scheme - Part 8 adopted by Council Members the 21^st April 2008. Site Investigation works completed 2008. Contractor Per-qualification process completed 2008. Detailed design progressed 2008. Negotiations commenced with landowners to acquire lands by agreement. Works expected to commence Q2/Q3 2009 for Phase One.

• Eastern Environs - Ballybought Street works completed Q3 2008.

• Northern Ring Road Extension and River Nore Crossing - Draft Constraints and Route Options Study completed 2008. Site investigation, Hydrogeology Study and detail survey works planned for 2009.

• M8/N8 Cullahill Substantially completed and opened officially on 7^th December 2008.

• N9/N10 Phase 2 Waterford to Knocktopher continued during 2008 with Bam Civil Engineering as main Contractor. Progress was satisfactory during the year on earthworks and bridge construction. It expected to open in the 3rd quarter of 2009.

• N9/N10 Phase 4 Knocktopher to Powerstown. SRB limited (a joint venture of Roadbridge and Sisk) started work in January 2008. Progress was very satisfactory during the year on both earthworks and bridge construction. The anticipated opening date is November 2010.

• N24 Moincoin Bypass. A draft EIS and preliminary Design Report was completed by our Consultants Malone O'Regan Scott Wilson and submitted to the NRA for approval.

• N25 Waterford to Glenmore. Tramore house Regional office Continued design work on the scheme and generated a number of route options.
